MAKAMIM BUDUR

MAKAMIM BUDUR

Nasreddin Hoca’ya sormuşlar: “Kimsin? ” “Hiç” demiş Hoca, “Hiç kimseyim.”

Dudak büküp önemsemediklerini görünce, sormuş: “Sen kimsin? ” “Mutasarrıf” demiş adam kabara kabara. “Sonra ne olacaksın? ” diye sormuş Nasreddin Hoca.

“Herhalde vali olurum” diye cevaplamış adam...

“Daha sonra? ..” diye üstelemiş Hoca. “Vezir” demiş adam. “Daha daha sonra ne olacaksın? ” “Bir ihtimal sadrazam olabilirim.”

“Peki ondan sonra? ” Artık makam kalmadığı için adam boynunu büküp son makamını söylemiş:

“Hiç.”

“Daha niye kabarıyorsun be adam, ben şimdiden, senin yıllar sonra gelebileceğin makamdayım: 'Hiçlik makamında!

Health benefits of Walnuts
  • The nuts are rich source of energy and contain many health benefiting nutrients, minerals, antioxidants and vitamins that are essential for optimum health.
  • They are rich in monounsaturated fatty acids (about 72%) like oleic acid and an excellent source of all important omega-3 essential fatty acids like linoleic acid, alpha linolenic acid (ALA) and arachidonic acids. Regular intake of walnuts in the diet help to lower total as well as LDL or “bad cholesterol” and increase HDL or “good cholesterol” levels in the blood. Research studies suggest that Mediterranean diet that is rich in mono-unsaturated fatty acids and omega-3 fatty acids help to prevent coronary artery disease and strokes by favoring healthy blood lipid profile.
  • Eating just as much as 25 g each day provides about 90% of RDI (recommended daily intake) ofomega-3 fatty acids. Research studies have suggested that n-3 fatty acids by their virtue of anti-inflammatory action helps to lower the risk of blood pressure, coronary artery disease, strokes and breast, colon and prostate cancers.
  • They are rich source of many phyto-chemical substances that may contribute to their overall anti-oxidant activity, including melatonin, ellagic acid, vitamin E, carotenoids, and poly-phenolic compounds. These compounds have potential health effects against cancer, aging, inflammation, and neurological diseases.
  • Scientists at University of Scranton, Pennsylvania have recently discovered that walnuts have highest levels of popyphenolic antioxidants than any other common edible nuts. 100 g of walnuts contain13541 µmol TE (Trolex equivalents) of oxidant radical absorbance capacity (ORAC). Eating as few as six to seven average sized nuts a day could help scavange disease causing free radicals from the body.
  • In addition, they are also excellent source of vitamin E, especially rich in gamma-tocopherol; contain about 21 g per 100 g (about 140% of daily-required levels). Vitamin E is a powerful lipid soluble antioxidant, required for maintaining the integrity of cell membrane of mucus membranes and skin by protecting it from harmful oxygen free radicals.
  • These nuts are packed with many important B-complex groups of vitamins such as riboflavin, niacin, thiamin, pantothenic acid, vitamin B-6, and folates.
  • They also very are rich source of minerals like manganese, copper, potassium, calcium, iron, magnesium, zinc, and selenium. Copper is a cofactor for many vital enzymes, including cytochrome c-oxidase and superoxide dismutase (other minerals function as co-factors for this enzyme are manganese and zinc). Zinc is a co-factor in many enzymes that regulate growth and development, sperm generation, digestion and nucleic acid synthesis. Selenium is an important micronutrient, which functions as co-factor for anti-oxidant enzymes such as glutathione peroxidases.
  • Walnuts oil has flavorful nutty aroma and has an excellent astringent properties; helps to keep skin well protected from dryness. It has also been used in cooking, and as “carrier or base oil” in traditional medicines in massage therapy, aromatherapy, in pharmaceutical and cosmetic industry.
Munch a handful of walnuts a day and you will have enough recommended levels of minerals, vitamins, and protein.

Persians believe Eve actually ate a pomegranate she plucked from a small tree in the Garden of Eden, not an apple. And ancient Egyptians buried their dead with pomegranates because they believed it offered eternal life.
This unusual fruit is also featured in mythology and tradition as a symbol of good tidings. That’s why Greeks break open a pomegranate at wedding celebrations, and the Chinese eat candied pomegranate seeds for good luck.

Current Research into Pomegranates

These days, researchers are discovering the truth beyond the myths surrounding the pomegranate’s powers, proving why this exotic fruit has claimed such a fabled place in cultures throughout the ages. And scientists conducting research on the many health benefits of pomegranates have made some startling finds.
First, organic pomegranates are full of antioxidants. These are vitamins and enzymes known for keeping low-density lipoprotein (LDL) or “bad” cholesterol from oxidizing and causingatherosclerosis, or hardening of the arteries. Organic pomegranate seeds act a lot like aspirin, keeping blood platelets from sticking togetherand forming dangerous blood clots.

Antioxidants also buffer the effects of free radical damage to your cells caused by oxidation. Free radicals are produced by functions within the body and elements outside the body, such as radiation from the sun. Since you can’t stop free radical occurrence and oxidation, it’s important to consume foods that help neutralize their potential damage.
Research also shows that eating organic pomegranate seeds and drinking pomegranate juice canincrease oxygen levels to the heart.
Other studies reveal that, over time, organic pomegranates might help combat erectile dysfunction. This super fruit might also reduce the inflammation of arthritis by slowing down the enzymes that break down cartilage.
How to Eat Your Organic Pomegranate:
So, how do you eat a pomegranate, anyway? About the size of an orange, it’s an intricate fruit containing a maze of seeds inside of inedible flesh that’s covered in a bark-like skin. Still, there is an easy way to get to all those nutritious, sweet and juicy seeds.

  1. Cut off the crown (you’ll see it) and throw it away or better yet use it for compost.
  2. Score and slice the rind all around, but don’t cut the rind all the way through.
  3. Soak the pomegranate face down in cold water for about ten minutes.
  4. While the pomegranate is still in the bowl of water, break apart the scored rinds, and remove the seeds from the flesh (the seeds will sink to the bottom of your bowl).
  5. Remove the rind and membrane from the bowl with a sieve or spoon.
  6. Drain the seeds with a colander and pat dry with a paper towel.
To get the most out of an organic pomegranate, eat the seeds while they’re at their freshest and juiciest, and at the peak of their medicinal powers.

Some people suck the juice out and spit out the seed. It is a personal choice but it is beneficial to eat the entire seed. Most of the beneficial fiber actually comes from the seed.
Organic pomegranate seeds are simply bursting with a delicious, pleasant, slightly acidic flavor that has all the sweetness of cranberries without the tartness.
I suggest sprinkling the seeds on a green salad or a fruit salad for a surprising taste sensation. You can add them to any recipe that calls for fruit or seeds, too. Pomegranates are often used in Middle Eastern dishes and make a great cranberry-style sauce.
Organic pomegranate seeds are also perfectly delicious eaten all by themselves.
Health Benefits of Organic Pomegranates

Packed with antioxidants equal to those in green tea and red wine, and especially loaded with Vitamin C and Potassium, pomegranates are said to help:
  • Lower Risk of Heart Disease [1] [2] [3]
  • Lower Risk of Cancer, Especially Prostate & Breast [4] [5] [6]
  • Lessen Symptoms of Diarrhea [7] [8]
  • Reduce Cholesterol [9] [10] [11]
  • Control Your Weight [12] [13] [14]
  • Fight Cell Damage [15]
Did you know? Pomegranates are one of the few fruits whose juice is just as beneficial as its fruit or seeds. That’s because the peel, which you can’t eat, contains the most antioxidants, and they are released in abundance when the fruit is squeezed for juicing.
Note: Eating pomegranates might interfere with certain medications in the same way that grapefruit juice does. Be sure to ask your doctor or pharmacist about any drug interactions, if that’s a concern.

KIRLANGIÇ VE KÜÇÜK KUŞLAR

KIRLANGIÇ VE KÜÇÜK KUŞLAR

Güleryüksek müsadenizle leydim....

Bir kırlangıç dünyayı geze dolaşaÇok şeyler öğrenmiş.Atalarımız ne demiş:
"Bir şeyler kalır çok görenin kafasında.
"Bizim kırlangıç önceden bilirmişBüyük küçük bütün fırtınaları,
Gemiciler ondan alırmış haberi
.Bir gün bir yerde kırlangıç bakmış,Tarlasına, sıram sıramKenevir tohumu ekiyor köylünün biri.
Kırlangıç çağırmış küçük kuşları,
- Bakın, demiş, sizin kuyunuzu kazıyor bu adam
.Bana göre hava hoş, çeker giderim burdan,Ama korkarım sizin haliniz duman.Şu elin savurduğu tohumlar yok mu,Başınıza örülen birer çoraptır sizin,Her attığı tohum bininizin öksesi
,Benden size söylemesi
.Günü gelip kenevir sicim oldu mu Seyreyleyin size kurulacak dolapları.
Ya ölüm, ya zindan gayri sizlere:
Kiminize kafes, kiminize tencere.

The Swallow And The Little Birds

The Swallow And The Little Birds

The Swallow And The Little Birds

By voyages in air
With constant thought and care,
Much knowledge had a swallow gain'd,
Which she for public use retain'd,
The slightest storms she well foreknew,
And told the sailors ere they blew
.A farmer sowing hemp, once having found,
She gather'd all the little birds around,
And said
, 'My friends, the freedom let me take
To prophesy a little, for your sake,
Against this dangerous seed.
Though such a bird as IKnows how to hide or fly,You birds a caution need.
See you that waving hand?
It scatters on the land
What well may cause alarm.
'Twill grow to nets and snares,
To catch you unawares,
And work you fatal harm!
Great multitudes I fear,
Of you, my birdies dear,
That falling seed, so little,
Will bring to cage or kettle!
But though so perilous the plot,
You now may easily defeat it:
All lighting on the seeded spot,
Just scratch up every seed and eat it.
'The little birds took little heed
,So fed were they with other seed.
Anon the field was seenBedeck'd in tender green
.The swallow's warning voice was heard again:
'My friends, the product of that deadly grain,
Seize now, and pull it root by root,
Or surely you'll repent its fruit.
''False, babbling prophetess,' says one
,'You'd set us at some pretty fun!
To pull this field a thousand birds are needed
While thousands more with hemp are seeded
.'The crop now quite mature,
The swallow adds,
'Thus far I've fail'd of cure;
I've prophesied in vain
Against this fatal grain:It's grown.
And now, my bonny birds,
Though you have disbelieved my words
Thus far, take heed at last,-
-When you shall see the seed-time past,
And men, no crops to labour for,
On birds shall wage their cruel war,
With deadly net and noose;
Of flying then beware,Unless you take the air,
Like woodcock, crane, or goose.
But stop; you're not in plight
For such adventurous flight,
O'er desert waves and sands,In search of other lands.
Hence, then, to save your precious souls,
Remaineth but to say,
'Twill be the safest way,
To chuck yourselves in holes.
'Before she had thus far gone,
The birdlings, tired of hearing,
And laughing more than fearing,
Set up a greater jargon
Than did, before the Trojan slaughter,
The Trojans round old Priam's daughter.
And many a bird, in prison grate,
Lamented soon aTrojan fate.
'Tis thus we heed no instincts but our own
;Believe no evil till the evil's done.
